The building is conceived as the composition of two distinct architectural elements: a robust ground-floor base and a lighter upper volume, reflecting the different functions they accommodate. The ground floor is defined by cross-shaped structural columns made of red concrete with exposed aggregates, giving the base a strong tectonic presence. Large perimeter openings are framed either by burgundy window frames with glazing or, in areas housing mechanical and electrical installations, by metal infill panels and louvers finished in the same colour palette. The red and burgundy tones establish a clear visual datum that distinguishes the base from the upper levels while creating a recognizable identity within the heterogeneous urban fabric. Generous openings strengthen the relationship between interior and exterior, activating the street frontage and fostering a sense of belonging for both students and residents of the neighbourhood. Above, the broader façades of the upper floors are defined by a disciplined green metal grid that frames the balconies and supports white fabric shading panels with vertical rotation. The narrower façades adopt a more restrained expression, introducing subtle variation and enriching the experience of the building as it is approached from the north or south along the street. Together, these elements articulate a clear architectural hierarchy while contributing a contemporary and distinctive presence to the surrounding cityscape.
